Carter  Plantation is the first David Toms designed signature golf course.

Born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1967, David Toms grew up playing baseball with Major League Baseball players  Ben McDonald and All-Star Albert Belle.

At 17 David Toms won the 1984 Junior World Golf Championship. He was an All American at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge before he joined the PGA Tour in 1992.

At the Atlanta Athletic Club’s 2001 PGA Championship, David Toms’  265 winning score is the lowest absolute 72 hole score to date in a major championship. Mr. Toms has won one major and over a dozen PGA Tour events.
